Introduction to Saddle Clamp with Flange Outlet
1. Saddle-type openings are usually made directly on the main pipe at the construction site and the branch pipe connector is installed.
Applicable to situations where branches need to be added to existing running pipelines, or where prefabricated tees cannot be used due to space or cost constraints.
2. Cut a hole on the main pipeline that matches or is slightly larger than the inner diameter of the branch pipe. The end of the branch pipe is processed into a saddle-shaped curved surface that matches the curvature of the outer wall of the main pipe so that it fits tightly on the main pipe. The saddle-shaped branch pipe connector is fixed to the main pipe opening by threads.
3. Installation flexibility and economy:
Applicable to renovation and maintenance: It is the most common method to add branches to in-service pipelines. There is no need to cut off the main pipe or replace a large section of the pipe. There is no need to weld the saddle tee to the main pipe. The construction is relatively convenient, with little impact on the operation of the system, and it can be constructed with water and pressure.
Applicable to large-diameter main pipes: For large-diameter main pipes, prefabrication or procurement of large-diameter tees is costly and difficult to transport and install. Saddle-type openings are a more economical and practical choice.
Space limitations: It has more advantages in situations where space is narrow and prefabricated tees are difficult to install.
