How to preliminarily determine the cause
Location of leakage point: on the weld, on the outside of the elbow body (erosion), random points (corrosion), at the interface of the insulation layer,
Leakage form: pinhole, crack, large area thinning and perforation,
Medium characteristics: whether it contains corrosive components, whether it contains solid particles, how is the flow rate,
Operation history: whether there are frequent starts and stops, whether there is over-temperature and over-pressure, when was the last inspection, how does the wall thickness data change,
Environment: buried, overhead, whether there is insulation, is the environment corrosive,
Visual inspection: whether there are serious corrosion products near the leakage point, erosion marks, whether the insulation layer is damp and damaged.
