Purpose: Seal the end of the pipe flange for temporary or permanent blocking of the pipe.
How to use:
Align the blind plate with the flange bolt hole and insert the bolt.
Tighten the nuts evenly and symmetrically (tighten gradually in 2-3 times) to ensure even pressure distribution.
Precautions:
- Gasket selection: Corrosion-resistant gaskets (such as rubber or EPDM) must be used.
- Tightening strength: Avoid over-tightening that may cause cracking of the PVC flange (recommended torque ≤25 N·m).
Pressure matching: Confirm that the pressure level of the blind plate ≥ the design pressure of the pipeline.
Environmental requirements:
- Construction at temperature >5℃ (adhesive fails at low temperature).
- No water or oil in the pipeline (cleanliness affects bonding strength).
Gluing operation:
- Apply glue evenly and quickly (complete plug-in within 30 seconds), and the curing time ≥30 minutes (≥24 hours before pressure).
Pressure test:
- After installation, a hydrostatic pressure test of 1.5 times the working pressure is required (pressure stabilization ≥ 30 minutes).
Safety protection:
- When UPVC is used for chemicals, confirm the corrosion resistance (refer to the chemical compatibility table).
- The blind plate must be depressurized before removal to avoid high-pressure liquid splashing.
> Key tips:
> - The difference between PVC and UPVC: UPVC is more acid-resistant and alkali-resistant (applicable to chemical pipelines), and PVC is mostly used for water supply and drainage.
> - Prohibited scenarios: temperature>60℃, organic solvents (such as acetone), strong oxidants (such as concentrated nitric acid) pipelines.
