PVC saddle-shaped joint (threaded joint)

Purpose: saddle-shaped base + metal threaded joint, used to connect valves or metal pipe fittings.

Key steps:

Saddle-shaped part installation:

- Same as straight-mouth saddle operation (opening, cleaning, gluing, tightening).

Thread sealing:

- Wrap raw tape around the metal thread (clockwise 15-20 turns) or apply thread sealant.

Tightening force:

- After manually screwing in the threaded fitting, tighten it with a wrench for 1/4~1/2 turn (avoid over-tightening to cause PVC cracking).

Pressure test:

- Check whether there is leakage at the threaded joint after water is passed, and adjust the seal if necessary.
