Purpose: Fix PVC pipes to walls, brackets, ceilings or other structures. Provide support to prevent pipes from sagging, vibrating or shifting.
Structure: Usually consists of a semicircular PVC clamp and a metal (or plastic) fixing base (with screw holes), or directly a U-shaped metal clamp with threaded holes and nuts.
Installation:
Select the appropriate pipe clamp model according to the pipe size.
Determine the location of the fixing point, and the spacing should meet the specifications.
Drill holes on the fixing surface, insert the expansion tube, and firmly fix the pipe clamp base to the structure with screws.
Put the pipe into the U-shaped clamp.
If it is a split type, cover the cover and tighten it with screws (not too tight, allowing the pipe to have axial sliding space to adapt to thermal expansion and contraction). If it is a U-bolt type, tighten the nut (.
Notes:
Tightness: The pipe clamp should fix the pipe, but not clamp it tightly. The pipe should be able to slide slightly along the axis in the clamp to accommodate thermal expansion and contraction. Tighten the screws/nuts to ensure that the pipe does not loosen or rotate, and avoid excessive squeezing of the pipe to cause deformation.
Position: Pipe clamp supports are required on both sides of the pipe fittings (valves, tees, elbows, reducers, and unions).
Type: For points that need to be completely fixed, use fixed brackets; for long straight pipe sections that only need guide support, use sliding brackets.
