Installation precautions:
1. UPVC end gluing: Insert the UPVC pipe into its socket end according to the standard gluing procedure.
2. Threaded end installation:
Wrap an appropriate amount of polytetrafluoroethylene raw tape on the metal external thread to be connected, or apply compatible pipe thread sealant.
Align the internal thread of the copper internal thread connector with the metal external thread and screw it in a few turns by hand to ensure alignment.
Use a suitable wrench to tighten the connection. Be sure to control the force!
Key point 1: When tightening, only allow the wrench to be stuck on the hexagon of the metal part. It is absolutely forbidden to clamp the wrench on the UPVC part for tightening, otherwise it is very easy to cause the UPVC to crack.
Key point 2: The tightening force should be moderate to achieve sealing. The strength of metal threads is much higher than that of UPVC. The stress caused by over-tightening will be transmitted to the brittle UPVC part, causing its stress cracking. Follow the principle of "if it feels tight, add half a turn to one turn" and avoid using brute force.
3. Medium temperature: Note that the thermal expansion coefficients of UPVC and metal are different. In the case of alternating hot and cold water or high temperature environment, the interface is a weak point and needs special attention.
