How to use: Place it between the two flange sealing surfaces, deform under pressure to fill the microscopic unevenness and achieve sealing.
Installation precautions:
1. Correct selection:
Material: Must be compatible with the pipeline conveying medium. Commonly used are NBR nitrile rubber, EPDM ethylene propylene rubber, PTFE polytetrafluoroethylene, etc.
Type: Match the flange sealing surface type.
Size: The inner diameter, outer diameter, and thickness must meet the flange standard requirements.
Pressure rating: The pressure rating of the gasket should not be lower than the pressure rating of the flange.
2. Inspection: Check whether the gasket is intact before installation.
3. Cleaning: Thoroughly clean the sealing surfaces of the two flanges to ensure that there is no dirt, oil stains, old gasket residue, and scratches.
4. Centering: Place the gasket accurately in the center of the flange sealing surface and ensure that the bolt holes are aligned.
5. Avoid adhesion: Usually no grease or adhesive is required. Dry installation is most common.
6. Avoid reuse: Flange gaskets are usually for one-time use and should be replaced with new ones after disassembly.
