Usage: Used to permanently or temporarily block the flange end of the pipe, valve flange end or equipment flange.
Installation precautions:
1. Matching: The blind plate must have the same pressure rating, sealing surface type, bolt hole size and number as the flange to be blocked.
2. Gasket: A suitable flange gasket must be installed between the blind plate and the flange surface. The gasket size must match.
3. Installation:
Clean the flange sealing surface and the blind plate sealing surface.
Place the gasket correctly on the flange sealing surface.
Align the bolt holes of the blind plate and the flange bolt holes.
Insert all bolts.
Tighten all nuts by hand.
4. Tighten: Use the cross-cross method to evenly tighten all nuts to the specified torque value in multiple times. Ensure that the blind plate is evenly stressed and the gasket is evenly compressed to avoid leakage.
5. Temporary and permanent: Temporary blind plates should be easy to identify and remove; permanent blind plates are sometimes welded.
