How to use: A kind of union, consisting of a mother body with internal threads, a union nut with a glued socket and a sealing gasket. It is used for UPVC pipe connection points that need to be disassembled frequently, especially one end is connected to a threaded pipe fitting and the other end is connected to a UPVC pipe.
Installation precautions:
1. Glued end: Connect the socket end of the union nut to a UPVC pipe according to the standard glue procedure.
2. Threaded end: Wrap the raw tape or apply sealant on the external thread of the metal (or plastic) pipe fitting to be connected.
3. Assemble the union:
First put the union nut (with the pipe glued) and the sealing gasket on another pipe to be connected (or installed on the equipment).
Screw the external thread of the pipe to be connected into the internal thread of the mother body, clamp the hexagon of the mother body with a wrench and tighten it.
Insert the pipe/equipment end with the union nut and gasket into the mother body, making sure the gasket is in the correct position.
Tighten the union nut by hand to make it initially engage with the mother body thread.
Key: Use two wrenches, one to fix the mother body and the other to tighten the union nut. When tightening the union nut, it pushes toward the mother body and compresses the middle gasket to achieve sealing. Tighten to a moderate force, and the gasket is evenly compressed to prevent the gasket or UPVC nut from being crushed.
4. Gasket inspection: Make sure the gasket is intact, clean, and correctly positioned every time it is disassembled and reassembled. Replace if damaged.
