Usage:
1. Sealing element: Placed between the sealing surfaces of two matching flanges (can be PP flanges, PE flange roots or metal flanges).
2. Function: Fill the microscopic unevenness of the flange sealing surface, form a seal after being deformed under pressure, and prevent the medium from leaking from the flange connection.
3. Common types: Flat gaskets (for smooth surface flanges FF), sometimes O-rings (for convex and concave RF/MF or tongue and groove surface T/G flanges).

Installation precautions:
1. Material compatibility: It must be ensured that the PE gasket material is fully compatible with the medium, working temperature and working pressure of the pipeline. PE (polyethylene) gaskets are often used in water, some chemicals and lower temperature occasions.
2. Size matching: The inner diameter of the gasket must be equal to or slightly larger than the inner diameter of the pipe, and it is absolutely not allowed to be smaller than the inner diameter of the pipe. The outer diameter of the gasket should be smaller than the diameter of the inscribed circle of the bolt hole.
3. Cleanliness: The flange sealing surface and the gasket itself must be clean, dry, free of oil, dust, and old gasket residues.
4. Centering: The gasket must be placed accurately in the center of the flange sealing surface without deviation.
5. Intact: Check the gasket for scratches, indentations, aging, cracks and other defects before installation. Defective gaskets must be replaced.
6. Avoid reuse: Flange gaskets are usually designed for one-time use. When reinstalling after removal, it is strongly recommended to replace new gaskets.
7. Lubrication: Depending on the gasket type and manufacturer's recommendations, it is sometimes necessary to apply a thin layer of special lubricant or sealing paste on both sides of the gasket (must be confirmed to be compatible with the medium and gasket material) to help position, seal and prevent adhesion.
