Usage:
1. Purpose of connection: Used to conveniently and reliably connect PE pipes to valves, equipment or other interfaces with standard flanges. It is a key transition piece for connecting PE pipe systems to metal systems or equipment.
2. Structure: One end is a standard flange and the other end is a socket made of PE material.
3. Connection process:
The socket end of the PE flange root is firmly connected to the PE pipe by electric fusion welding or hot melt socket welding. The welding process must comply with the PE material specifications.
Align the flange end of the PE flange root with the mating flange and place a suitable flange gasket in the middle.
Insert the bolts and tighten the nuts evenly in a diagonal cross sequence to the specified torque.

Installation precautions:
1. Welding quality: The connection between the PE pipe and the socket of the flange root is a weak point under pressure. The correct welding method and strict process (cleaning, scraping oxide layer, time, voltage/current, cooling) must be used. Operators must be certified.
2. Port treatment: Before welding, the end face of the PE pipe must be cut flat and perpendicular to the axis, and the oxide layer on the outer surface of the port must be thoroughly cleaned and scraped off (the depth meets the requirements).
3. Concentricity and parallelism: When welding the PE flange root, ensure that its flange surface is perpendicular to the axis of the connected PE pipe. During installation, ensure that the flange surface of the flange root is strictly parallel and concentric with the mating flange.
4. Bolt tightening: Same as the requirements for PP flanges and metal flanges, tighten diagonally and evenly in steps to the specified torque. Avoid deformation or cracking of plastic flanges due to overtightening. Usually use a lower torque value than metal flanges.
5. Gasket selection: Choose compatible gaskets with correct size, cleanness, and centering.
6. Stress considerations: PE pipes have a large thermal expansion coefficient, and there should be reasonable supports or guide brackets near the flange root to avoid excessive axial thrust or bending stress being transmitted to the flange connection and weld.
7. Avoid direct welding of metal flanges: It is strictly forbidden to try to weld a metal flange directly on the end of the PE pipe. A dedicated PE flange root must be used as a transition piece.
