Usage: Used for pipe branch connection. Reducing means the branch or main pipe is reduced in diameter. Saddle tees need to be installed on the main pipe.
Additional notes:
Reducing tees/crosses: Be sure to distinguish the main pipe from the branch pipe, the large diameter end from the small diameter end, and confirm the flow direction. Whether to install the large end or the small end first during welding depends on the site conditions, but the operating space and socket depth must be guaranteed.
Oblique tees: Pay special attention to the branch angle direction to ensure that it is consistent with the design requirements.
Saddle tees (reducing):
Holes need to be opened on the installed main pipe. Special saddle drilling tools must be used to ensure that the hole size is accurate and the edges are flat and smooth.
The opening area must be thoroughly cleaned.
The contact surface between the saddle fittings and the main pipe must be clean and dry. The welding process (heating, socketing, pressure-maintaining cooling) must be particularly stable to ensure that the saddle and the main pipe are completely fitted and melted. High requirements for operating technology and equipment stability.
Socket-and-spigot hot-melt tee: When installing, the socket-and-spigot order of the three ports must be considered. Usually, the two ends of the main pipe are installed first, and the branch pipe is installed last. Pay attention to the direction of the branch pipe. The large-diameter tee welding needs to be supported firmly.
